World of Conventions 9: Wales Comic Con; Telford Takeover, Telford International Centre (20 November 2021)
One week after Comic Con Liverpool, on 20 November 2021, after almost two years, my desire to take a trip to Telford was eventually carried out. Remember how I said on my second post that Wales Comic Con was no longer in Wrexham? Well, this is it. As of December 2019, Wales Comic Con was moved to Telford. Reasons? Because the Glyndwr University wasn't big enough for the convention. As a result, the venue was relocated to the Telford International Centre. I brought back my 11th Doctor outfit from when I went to London in July 2019 for cosplay, marking the third time I did cosplay at any comic con.
For guests in this convention, to make up for not meeting the two guests at Comic Con Liverpool in the previous week, I decided to get the autograph of voice actor John DiMaggio, who voiced Bender in Futurama. I was expecting on the autograph to say his signature catchphrase that the robot says in the show! Ha! It actually did! Then, I met Paul McGann, who played the 8th Doctor, exclusively in the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie, then I met Peter Davison, who played the 5th Doctor from 1981 up until 1984, and I met Billie Piper, who played Rose Tyler, the 9th and 10th Doctor's companion.

Now, onto one of my favourite parts with comic cons, as per usual; selfies!!! Starting us off with a Jodie Whittaker cosplayer, which is one of my newfound cosplayer friends, Becky (a.k.a. Bexter Cosplaygirl), followed by my third run in with Lilian Watkins (Lil-Bow Cosplay) back in her unicorn cosplay, followed then by Velma Cosplayer, from the Scooby-Doo! franchise, then we have ourselves a cosplayer, potentially dressed as a TARDIS, then a cosplayer, with somewhat of a warthog as a mask (not a face mask, just regular mask, know what I mean?), then a cosplayer dressed as WandaVision, then, a Scarlet Witch cosplayer (initially unknown, now identified thanks to a gallery on kotaku.com), I believe, followed by another Jodie Whittaker cosplayer, but with a twist, with Matt Smith's Doctor's ferret. Pretty dapper, right? Then, not just any cosplayer, bone of my newfound friends, Elise Bailey. Another WandaVision cosplayer, but not in the convention this time, but on the train station at night, goes by the name Katie (a.k.a. Katie Cosplays), followed by the last two in the Shrewsbury train station, which included one dressed as Princess Zelda (The creation8, who is actually on TikTok).
Double Doctor, Double Danger!
My first run in with Becky, one of my newfound cosplayer friends.
My third run in with Lilian, back as the unicorn!
Jinkies!
For a cosplay of the TARDIS, it must look good!
Looking really trendy there!
This must be my first time seeing a WandaVision cosplayer in general.
Oh, god, please don't take me to the underworld!
A mixture of two Doctor incarnations. Excellent mashup!
Another one of my newfound friends, Elise.
Katie, another one of the WandaVision cosplayers, and another one of my newfound cosplayer friends.
Princess Zelda. Where's Link when you need him?
And here we are with my last cosplayer selfie of this convention, ending with another stunning cosplay!
It's great to make new friends, and see a bunch of amazing cosplayers! This conventions was one of the most fantastic of many that I've been to! Next convention hopes to see so much more as we enter 2022! Though, speaking of which, this was my last convention of 2021, now, compared to 2020, I managed to go to more, because COVID restrictions were being scrapped overtime. What will we see next convention? Find out for more adventures in my World of Conventions.
..AND THE LEGACY LIVES ON!
