World of Conventions 2: Wales Comic Con, Wrexham Glyndwr University (1 December 2018)


Eight months after attending my first comic con, I went back into the Wrexham Glyndwr University again to attend part 2 of Wales Comic Con. I gained a bit more experience and confidence compared to the first convention I attended prior to thoughts of going to one in 2017 before I started completely.

This time around, I met the OG Red Ranger, Austin St. John, who, of course played Jason Lee Scott in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He would later return in Power Rangers Zeo as the Gold Ranger, then again in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, then in Power Rangers Wild Force in the 10th anniversary special, and in Power Rangers Beast Morphers in the ultimate Dino Rangers team-up episode. For my photo-op with Austin, I borrowed one of those Power Morphers (see photo-op) from one of the Power Ranger cosplayers. I would later get my hands on one for Christmas of 2018.

Having gained more confidence unlike the previous convention, for the very first time, I'd grab a pic or two with cosplayers. These cosplayers include the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz, of whom was cosplayed by one of my old friends from school. I tested my skills on the lightsabers again on the prop tryouts. I captured a human dressed up as a Dalek? I even had a picture with not one, but two Harley Quinns, one from Suicide Squad (cosplayed by Totally Twilla) and one from the Batman series from the 1960's (cosplayed by Gotham's Candy). I also had my first encounter with a unicorn cosplayer (Lilian Watkins (a.k.a. Lil-Bow Cosplay)). And last, but not least, I even got a photo with the Green and Yellow Ranger cosplayers.

This would be my last convention of 2018, and my last in Wrexham, because as of December of 2019, Wales Comic Con moved to Telford. Stay tuned for my next epic adventure in my epic Comic Con legacy!

One week after Comic Con Liverpool, on 20 November 2021, after almost two years, my desire to take a trip to Telford was eventually carried out. Remember how I said on my second post that Wales Comic Con was no longer in Wrexham? Well, this is it. As of December 2019, Wales Comic Con was moved to Telford. Reasons? Because the Glyndwr University wasn't big enough for the convention. As a result, the venue was relocated to the Telford International Centre. I brought back my 11th Doctor outfit from when I went to London in July 2019 for cosplay, marking the third time I did cosplay at any comic con. For guests in this convention, to make up for not meeting the two guests at Comic Con Liverpool in the previous week, I decided to get the autograph of voice actor John DiMaggio, who voiced Bender in Futurama. World of Conventions 7: Liverpool Anime & Gaming Con, Adelphi Hotel (16 October 2021)

Three months later, on 16 October 2021, seeing as if I enjoyed Liverpool Anime & Gaming Con so much, I went there again in the Adelphi Hotel. Again, no media guests, just cosplayers. Just like the previous post, this will only feature cosplayer pictures, since this is cosplayers only. We start off with two single selfies with pother cosplayers. Followed by a double cosplayer selfie, one which was dressed as Cinderella, than another double selfie. And another single, but with one holding somewhat of a Minecraft sword. In the outdoors, I got a double selfie with two cosplayers, no harm in taking them outside the convention, no? Followed by yet another single cosplayer selfie back in the convention, then another double cosplayer selfie, then three singles in a row, followed by a triple, then a double, then a single, who was dressed as Ariel from the Little Mermaid, but, that variant was wearing a yellow dress. World of Conventions 10: Wales Comic Con; Telford Takeover, Telford International Centre (2 April 2022)

On Christmas Day 2021, I got tickets to Wales Comic Con; Telford Takeover, and a place to meet David Tennant, who played the 10th Doctor from 2005 up until 2010. So, on 2 April 2022, my 10th Comic Con overall went underway, as for cosplay, I went as the 10th Doctor! Guests wise, I met David Tennant (obviously, I said this just now), and Catherine Tate, who played Donna Noble, the 10th Doctor's companion. I also revisited Paul McGann (from Telford of November 2021) and Sylvester McCoy (from London of July 2019). My photo-op with David Tennant NOTE: This was one of my most legendary moments!
