World of Conventions 6: Liverpool Anime & Gaming Con, Adelphi Hotel (17 July 2021)

On 17 July 2021, just 16 months after lockdown, Comic Cons were open to the public again. So, I decided to attend Liverpool Anime & Gaming Con, it may be in Liverpool, but in a location I've never visited before: the Adelphi Hotel! Now, compared to the other conventions I went to, there were no guests from film and/or TV shows, just cosplayers. It was a lovely summer's day, and people were getting out again, despite COVID-19 still being around, though, some restrictions were dropped.

Since this is a cosplayers only post, this section of photos will only include the cosplayers. But, before we get into this, I just want to let you know, that the AKASO V50 Elite sustained a nasty crack on the touchscreen, I sadly lost the ability to use it completely. Replacing it, I used the AKASO Brave 7 LE. Enough of my rambling, let's just get into this! Starting off, I get a double down with two cosplayers, and then another two. Then, I took myself to the great outdoors, where I could get a couple of selfies with a couple of cosplayers. After lunch, I headed back to the Adelphi to try and hunt more cosplayers to get a pic or two with 'em. During this, I managed to get a picture with a female Naruto cosplayer, followed by three consecutive cosplayers in one room. During one period, I watched violinist Lucia La Rezza, she was amazing, I remember she even played "They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard"! I even bought a rubber band bracelet and her CD "Busker Quest" from her stall, and then boom! I got a pic with her! After that, I got another indoor selfie with another cosplayer, then another outdoor one, which goes by the name Sweet Custard Prince (who cosplays Megumin of Komo Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!). Back indoors, I got a triple selfie with three cosplayers (one was dressed up as a character from Adventure Time, but you can't see it, sadly, because I couldn't capture that part), then two additional double cosplayer pics indoors, followed by another outdoor selfie, back outdoors again with another triple cosplayer one, then another single cosplayer selfie. One of them even admired my voice, of which I never had a compliment like that ever in my life before, like, ever! I hanged out at the Cosplay Masquerade waiting room to interact with a few cosplayers in the room, and I even grabbed a selfie with 'em, good call, that! And lastly, I grabbed one more double cosplayer selfie inside the Liverpool Train Station (though, I can't quite remember which one it was!).

For the first time in 16 months, I get the chance to get more pics with cosplayers again! Ah, feels like old times!

Even though I may not be familiar with certain characters, it's the looks that counts.

My first shot in the great outdoors!

That one was a really good shot, even with a cosplayer with an axe!

A female Naruto!

I dare say, that cosplay looks REALLY cool!

Ah, yes! Can't beat the pink hair and the bat-winged headband.

Multi-coloured hair! A traditional favourite of mine!

Lucia La Rezza, the one I watched perform on stage!

That cosplay is an absolute beauty! Nice job!

Sweet Custard Prince with her brilliant cosplay! I make making new friends look so easy!

I may have failed to get those three in McDonald's, but I managed to get them back in the Adelphi.

Two brilliant cosplayers at their very finest!

Another two brilliant cosplayers strutting their stuff! I love it!

Grabbing another selfie with a great cosplayer in the great outdoors (again)!

Another triple selfie indoors!

Fabulous cosplay!
NOTE: This was the one who admired my voice. Such a rare compliment!

In the cosplay masquerade hangout room. I love that cosplay.

That costume looks amazing!

If I say so myself, that cosplay looks fantastic!

One more, this time it was in the train station. Two cosplayers looking brilliant in this one!

For the first time in 16 months, it was great to be in the Comic Con biz again, though overall, it was one of the most fantastic of all! Hopefully, something like this happens more often! Watch out for more adventures on my World of Conventions!
